Reading contributions…

The work remains open.

The Living Echoes is an interactive artwork by Qiming Liu. A visitor’s words meet an independent AI voice; the exchange takes the form of writing and an image. Each contribution becomes a possible point of departure for another encounter.

The project asks how personal experience enters a shared space, and what changes when a memory, a question or an ordinary detail passes through another form of expression. A response may echo an idea, question it or leave something unresolved. The image offers another reading of the words, opening a distance between what was said and what can be seen.

This is a new project shaped by visitors’ contributions and AI-generated responses. It extends questions raised by Liu’s practice about individual experience, public life and mediated exchange; it does not reproduce his earlier works or speak in his place.

Participation & the public archive

Participation is voluntary. Confirm the publication terms before submitting; a public connection to an earlier contribution requires a separate choice.

Memory, politics, history and disagreement are welcome as subjects for reflection. Do not use the work to threaten people, expose private information or direct harm at others.

The original submission is retained alongside the generated work. AI responses may contain errors or interpretations you disagree with; they are contributions to the artwork, not verified accounts of events.

Public contributions are retained until an administrator removes them. A report requests review; it does not automatically erase a contribution.

Report a contribution if it exposes private information, threatens someone or raises another concern. Explain the issue briefly. The administrator will review the report and decide whether the contribution should be removed.
