Social Media Circle

Begun in the second half of 2015, Social Media Circle draws on videos circulating through WeChat. A single image gradually multiplies into a moving video mosaic, while clearly audible speech builds into indistinguishable noise. The work questions the apparent freedom of information exchange and how individuals can lose their sense of self amid overwhelming flows of information.
