Civic Action Related to Occupy Central, 2014

In 2014, Qiming Liu took part in civic action relating to Hong Kong’s Occupy Central movement.

The original introduction to 20141020 states that, on October 20, 2014, he assisted Li Xianting, Ai Xiaoming and others in raising funds for the families of artists detained for supporting Occupy Central. The artist’s note also records that he was detained as a result.

He later commemorated this personal experience through the performance video 20141020, completed in 2016.
