COVID-19 Relief Work in New York

In 2020, Qiming Liu volunteered during the pandemic in New York. On March 24, he delivered protective supplies donated by the “Chinese Community Passing on Care” team to Elmhurst Hospital. On May 30, he took part in distributing protective supplies and information in a Chinese community in New York.

In his CCA interview, Liu discusses entering social events, interacting with others and some of his volunteer work in relation to “social sculpture,” stating that “action is the content of the work.” The related moving-image project, New York COVID-19 Color Diary, retains its own artwork record.
